Update after 1 month of ownership:
It turns out what I believed to be a suspension rattle was just a lose lower engine cover.
A few weeks later the oil dipstick guide tube cracked which from what i can gather is common in 1.8T engines.
Future plans:
-Restore gutter rashed wheels DIY style with a spray can and some bondo
-Change gearbox oil to hopefully minimize occasional 3rd gear crunch under load
-Replace whip antenna with shorter ebay antenna
